Led by University of Calgary students, our programs are formed in partnership with community organizations and are adapted to the needs and interests of each group.

Calgary AfterSchool Connects Virtual Program

  • A virtual program that seeks to educate children on the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and mental wellbeing with interactive presentations

  • Partnered with the City of Calgary

 Shaganappi Calgary AfterSchool Program

  • Weekly sessions at the Shaganappi Housing Complex aimed to introduce underprivileged youth (grades 1-6) to a variety of sports and activities

  • Partnered with the Shagannapi Calgary AfterSchool Program

On-campus Daycare Program

  • Created in collaboration with the University Child Care Centre, this program teaches gross motor skills and movement patterns to children (3-4yrs)

Sports Discovery Program

  • Partnered with the City of Calgary's Neighbourhood Adventures program, a free program that runs over the summer for children facing barriers to recreational resources

  • Our volunteers created weekly program plans throughout July and August to introduce a variety of sports to the children

The Free Kicks Project is a student-led non-profit organization at the University of Calgary that provides programs to promote physical literacy in underprivileged youth.
